ASHLEY COOKE AND BRANTLEY GILBERT LIGHT UP NBC’S THE KELLY CLARKSON SHOW WITH CHART-CLIMBING SINGLE “OVER WHEN WE’RE SOBER”
COOKE’S 25-STOP HEADLINING TOUR IS UNDERWAY
NASHVILLE, TENN. – ACM New Female Artist of the Year nominee Ashley Cooke and Multi-Platinum country-rock trailblazer Brantley Gilbert brought their chart-climbing last-call duet to The Kelly Clarkson Show with an electrifying performance of “Over When We’re Sober” this past Friday, Oct. 25. Watch the performance HERE. The nationwide television performance comes after Cooke’s headlining 25-stop your place Tour celebrated its opening weekend with shows in Salt Lake City, Utah and Denver, Colo. this past weekend.
Fusing equal parts classic country drama with rock balladry and a splash of beat-driven swagger, “Over When We’re Sober” was co-written by Gilbert with Justin Wilson, Jelly Roll and Brock Berryhill. Cooke’s feature on Gilbert’s track released to country radio on June 20, just days before Cooke notched her life-changing first career No.1 with “your place,” which made her the highest charted solo female in 2024 on Billboard Country Airplay. “your place” also earned Cooke her first-ever CMTMusicAward win for Breakthrough Female Video of the Year before going on to secure a nomination for ACM New Female Artist of the Year.
The “country prodigy’s” (Holler) first appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show joins previous television performances on NBC’s TODAY, ABC’s The Bachelorette and a recent appearance as a presenter on the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards.
The newly minted MusicRow Breakthrough Artist-Writer of the Year recently wrapped her loaded festival season and Jordan Davis’ worldwide DAMN GOOD TIME TOUR which trekked across the U.S., Canada and Europe. Cooke will continue to bring her fan-favorite hits to cities nationwide on her your place Tourthroughout this fall and winter with special guest Greylan James.
With more than 430M on demand artist streams and recognition from iHeart, Spotify, the Grand Ole Opry and CMT, Cooke is quickly establishing herself as one of country music’s quickest rising females.
